Busy boy!

February 18th, 2008

Zeke is learning all sorts of fun things lately. While I was changing his diaper, he figured out how to get the lid off of his Gerber baby puffs. He tried to drink from the can once he opened it, and was shocked when he a big pile of puffs came out all over his face. I had to hurry and wash my hands (and of course take a few pictures) before I could help him clean them up and zip up his jammies.

Soon after, he found his formula can that we keep in his diaper bag. He knew exactly what to do with it, and he was even faster this time!

I love this one because you can see just how busy Zeke is. He loves opening the dishwasher and playing with it, but soon he’ll get bored and move on to the oven drawer and pull out all of the pots and pans, and finally, he’ll attempt to open the bottom drawer, (which has a safety lock on it) and try to get out all of the treasures he sees in there. I’m afraid it won’t be long before he’ll have the safety locks figured out too. Tonight he learned how to climb over our banana chair blockade that we keep in front of his bathroom door. He’s one smart little guy!

i remember that age. when my boys are that small they are very active and find things you don’t think they could find. but it’s a fun age! enjoy it while you can.

  2. Sounds like you have your hands full and are always on your toes! Isn’t this such a fun age though? Its great to see them exploring and finding new things (as long as its not formula, right!). I love it that you take pictures of every single thing!

Wow! He is one smart and active little boy and growing so quickly. Such a handful, I bet, but so so fun! I can’t wait until Maddox starts doing more than just pooping and eating, although he does smile and giggle and that just lights up my day :)

That is so funny that he did all of that so fast! He is so cute! You are smart to take pictures when they do that. I always forget.

  5. He is so cute! And I know what you mean about fast…you turn around for 1 second and they do the most incredible things. Jack never ceases to amaze me!

I can relate to having a busy boy. I’m always amazed at how quickly Peter can figure out whatever childproofing we think we have so cleverly put in place. Isn’t it great to realize that you’ll never, ever get bored watching them figure new stuff out?

It is such a fun age! Jimmy and I love to watch Zeke explore his world, everything is interesting and exciting to him. I hope he keeps his curiosity with him as he grows, even if that means more messes for me to help him clean up.

This sounds too familiar!! I love that kids are curious and keep us smiling, even when they do things that are a little bit naughty.

Okay, so everytime I come back to check your blog, I fall in love with that first picture of Zeke all over again. He’s stinking cute in his open p.j.’s and food on the floor, and looking up like at you like, “I’m just chowin’ down — don’t mind me, Mom!”

That’s funny LeMira! That’s totally the look he’s giving!
