My little pony wishes you a Happy Halloween!
(His cheeks are full of the prop, luckily it’s a real carrot :))
Zeke loved playing at his cousins’ house! We all had so much fun together!
Cute baby Matthew
It made me laugh when Zeke and I both took our Oreo apart and gave the half without the frosting on it to Jimmy. Then Zeke gave Jimmy the other half after he ate the frosting off.
Kristin and Rachael in silly string!
Grandma Z invited us to go to a pumpkin patch and choose some pumpkins. It was really neat! There were thousands of pumpkins, of many shapes and sizes.
Zeke and Grandma Z
Zeke is a great pumpkin selector, he chose this one, it looks great on our porch!
Zeke likes to tease the witch by shaking her broom. At first he was afraid of her, but now he likes to say “hi” and “bye” to her when we are outside.
Zeke has been asking us to hold him like a baby before bedtime. We LOVE it! From the time that he was only a few months old, he has been so alert and wanting to see what’s going on, and he rarely would lay still and let us hold him like a baby. He is learning new tricks for stalling and delaying bedtime, and I think this new “hold beebee” is his best yet! It melts our hearts. He lays there and smiles while we sing to him, he is so precious!
He thinks it’s the funniest thing when we smell his feet and say, “oh, stinky!”
Another one of his very effective stalling moves is to be really cute and funny on his slide. The other night, Jimmy and I watched him do tricks on his slide for 45 minutes, and it was already 2 hours after his bedtime! We just love these moments when he’s in such an entertaining mood!
After all that, Zeke made sure we each still got our turn to “hold beebee”.
Even though it makes bedtime prep twice as long, I treasure the time I get to hold our baby like a baby, because to me, he will always be that.
Yesterday was our 5th anniversary. We thought it would be fun to celebrate by going to dinner, and then to the BYU Homecoming dance.
I had my hair done at a beauty school in Salt Lake. The back was my favorite :)
We went to dinner downtown at Caffe Molisse, it was pretty good. We loved their chocolate mousse pie dessert!
We enjoyed passing through Temple Square and reminiscing about our wedding day.
The dance was at Thanksgiving Point, and the theme was “Enchanted”. They gave every girl a tiara to wear, I liked that.
Me with my tiara.
Jimmy surprised me with these beautiful roses, they were the prettiest ones I had ever seen! He also wrote me a very sweet note. I love his cards and notes so much, I save them in a fire proof safe.
It was a very wonderful day! I am so thankful I get to be married to Jimmy, he is everything I dreamed, and hoped my husband would be.
I love you so much Jimmy, happy anniversary!
It surprises me how much Zeke loves to drum on things. He will drum for as long as we let him when we visit Grandma’s house. We even keep two wooden spoons in the car for him to drum on the back of the seat to the music while we’re driving. He makes sound effects like, “do do BAH!” and he air drums with his hands even when he doesn’t have any sticks. It’s really fun since Jimmy is a drummer, Zeke likes to watch his daddy drum, and he looks at him like “Wow, you’re cool, Dad!”
We missed you tonight Daddy, but we’re happy you are able to go to each Priesthood Conference and learn great things. Zeke and I had lots of fun, Zeke got all of the pans out of the drawer, and set them up on his own, and asked for the “ticks”.
Zeke carried all of the pans and put them back in the drawer, then got them all right back out and set them up to drum on again.
Look how strong! The biggest pan with one hand!
After lots of drumming, Zeke thought of a new game – jumping off the big pan.
Big fall, but he still wanted to do some more…
Zeke, you’re the best!
When we were at a party at Jimmy’s grandparents’ home a few weeks ago, Zeke and his cousin Dallin both loved pushing around Makayla’s pink stroller. We were talking about how boys love to push strollers around too, and how they should make strollers for boys. I wasn’t able to find a manly stroller, but I did find a blue one, just ignore the pretty flowers on it.

Zeke with his gorilla.
Adventurous ride through the jungle.
Time for a little rest.
I asked him if I could take a picture, and he did this cute pose.
Okay, so I guess I know why they don’t make these strollers for boys. Zeke loves to ram it into things, especially our porch swing. He would laugh when the swing would hit the stroller with his gorilla in it and tip it over. The wheels are already wobbely, I think it’s only a matter of weeks until they fall off :)
