Our fun hobby

During the day, Zeke loves to play outside. For the past few weeks we have been enjoying a new hobby of finding parks to play at. Zeke is definitely an outdoor kind of guy!

Here are some fun pictures at a park in Draper…

They had a fun 4 way teeter totter.

Zeke liked climbing up this big rock wall to get to the slide.

We went to a great park just north of the Riverton Library…

The eyes on this horse were a little spooky to me.

Zeke thought the teather ball was a soccer ball on a string :D

Another day we found a park a little south of the library…

They have tire swings there!

Zeke preferred the regular swings over the tire swings.

And of course, the park we go to most often…

The park behind our house.

We found some fun parks in Herriman, Sandy, and South Jordan too. I love this area of Utah, there are so many great places to play! I hope Zeke likes to play in the snow too, otherwise we will have to find some fun indoor places. Has anyone been to the Jumping Jacks bounce place? If so, did you like it?

Wheeler Farm

Saturday we went on a family outing to Wheeler Farm. Jimmy and I hadn’t been there since we were young, and we had forgotten how much fun it was. It is free too, which makes it even more awesome! They have lots of farm animals, and other fun things to see.

This mamma pig had 7 piglets!

The clubhouse looks like a chicken, or bunny coop.

Zeke loved trying to get the ducks. We saw Adam and Francine getting their family pictures taken. (I hope you post them on your blog Francine.) Bentley’s and Aspen’s hair was so darling!

Wheeler Farm is such a neat place! It is open year round, and if you want directions and more info, go to www.wheelerfarm.com

The story behind these pics…

Zeke and I were having a fun day playing outside in our neighborhood. We were looking down at the horsies through the fence by the swings, and suddenly I smelled something awful. I always look where I step, and survey the area where Zeke will be stepping too, but somehow I missed a spot. Zeke had a huge pile of mushy green dog doo-doo on his shoe!! I was so disgusted! We tried to scrape it off in the street, but it was too soft. We went home, and I took off Zeke’s shoes and left them outside. I had to take off his pants too because some got on them, so I put Zeke inside and I went out to scrape off some of the big clumps with a stick. When I came back in, I found this…

Zeke still had his diaper on, and he was saying, “poo-poo” It made me laugh, and it almost made the whole ordeal worth it :)

I washed his hands, and then spent the next half hour washing out every crevice of Zeke’s shoe. I used an old tooth brush, and a safety pin to make sure I got it all before putting the shoe in my washing machine. Then I sanitized the sink. I am so paranoid about germs from animal messes! Please pick up your doggie’s mess when it goes in public places, especially near parks.
