So Thankful

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Tonight I was out doing Relief Society things until about 9pm, so when I got home, Zeke was already asleep. I went in his room and watched him sleep, and I kissed him softly. My heart was filled full of love and thankfulness for him. He is our angel! Everyday, Jimmy and I talk about how awesome Zeke is, and how thankful we are for him. When we think of how much Zeke has blessed our lives, and how we can’t imagine life without him, we are equally thankful for Samantha. She is also a real life angel to us! This time of year is a wonderful time for us to reflect on two years ago when we found out we had been selected by Samantha to be the parents of her precious baby boy! Words fail to express the gratitude we feel, and the love we have for Samantha and Heavenly Father for blessing us with our amazing Ezekiel James!  Happy tears came to my eyes tonight while I said my prayer and thanked Heavenly Father for Zeke. It is such a joy to be his mother!

Zeke is already into sports, and especially basketball. We got him this little hoop, and he loves it!

Downtown

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

We had a fun day downtown last week. We met Grandma Z, Kirty, and Dallin at the Discovery Childrens’ Museum, then went to Daddy’s work and took him out to lunch.

This museum is awesome for kids! They have so many neat things to do, and explore.

Fun visits from a little Elf and Superman!

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

I keep finding my shirts on the floor, it sure was a mystery to me as how they got there…

…until one day when I caught this little elf hiding in them, and solved the mystery  : P

Oh, and here are some pictures of Superman, he stopped by for a visit also.

Lava Hot Springs

Monday, January 5th, 2009

We took a quick trip up to Lava Hot Springs on Friday. We like to go every year, and we usually rent out a home to stay in with lots of family. Last year Zeke stayed at the house with Grandma and Grandpa while we went into the hot pools. We saw a baby younger than him in them, but we didn’t think it would be a good idea to take him. This year, we still weren’t sure if he would like them, but we decided to give it a try. Guess what…he liked them!

We stayed in this pool the whole time, it wasn’t as hot as the others.

Before we got in.

I found Zeke doing a little knitting after dinner. (PS Shirley- Don’t show Kaela this picture.)

The unicorns

Check out these pictures from last year. Zeke was only almost 10 months old, and already climbing like a monkey!

Curious as ever back then too! He looks so much the same, but he has changed a lot also. What a guy!

Has anyone else been to Lava Hot Springs? We highly recommend it!

Goodness!

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

Zeke loves to do thrilling stunts. He especially likes to jump off of things. The other day he attempted to jump off his slide, and he cleared it! I was watching, and I was so shocked I said, “Goodness!”. Now when he jumps off his slide he says, “Oh, goodness”. Here’s a video, but please ignore our messy playroom, and naked Zeke. (He gets sweaty when he plays because he plays so hard, so we let him play in just his diaper.)
