Saturday was the annual Z family Valentine party. It was also a big day to help Grandma and Grandpa Z clear out a ton of books from an apartment they own and were renting out to a man who loved books. He had homemade bookshelves on every wall from the floor to the ceiling. Jimmy went to help at the apartment along with some other siblings, and I watched Zeke and his cousin Dallin until the party.
My poor Jimmy stepped on a nail while he was helping, and had to go to urgent care to get a tetanus shot. He is doing a lot better now, but his foot still hurts.

They both wanted to sit on my lap while they tried to wake up, it was cute, and I liked being the one they wanted :).
Time for the party! We played spin the bottle, and the person who spun says something they like about the person the bottle pointed at.
Aunt Diane made lots of tasty sugar cookies to frost, and decorate.
Zeke and Dallin with their Valentine surprises. The Valentine fairy leaves each child a fun gift at the door, and rings the bell for them to go and find it.
Looks like a really fun time. I love pictures of sleeping babies! How did Dallin keep his head up? Your little Zeke’s smile is so precious!

I agree, what a great tradition, and a fun way to celebrate Valentines. It is so nice to feel like you are the one a child or baby wants when he wants to be comforted.
My mom stepped on a nail too more than 10 years ago. Believe me, it’s a good thing his foot hurts. My mom has no feeling where the nail went through her foot. I’ve never seen my mom cry so hard. Her nail was super rusty and went all the way through I think.
I hope Jimmy is feeling better. That sounds like such a fun tradition.

that’s fun to do to celebrate the holiday – what a good idea! Poor Jimmy- first being stabbed thru the foot with a nail and then on top of that to get a shot!
