Zeke likes to choose out his clothes now, and today he chose this one…

Luckily he changed his mind and let me put a smaller shirt on him before our play date with some friends.

Jimmy and I finished reading the Old Testament together! It was both of our first times reading it cover to cover. It was really neat for me to read the stories, and helpful to have someone to ask my questions to when I was confused. We have read all of the standard works together now, including the triple combination in Spanish. We are now reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish again. I’m excited because our Spanish is getting a little rusty, we need to practice more. We hope to serve a Spanish speaking mission together someday in the very distant future that I’m sure will be here before we know it!
Selling has been a little slow. We have only had one walk-through, and that is after we dropped the price $10,000. (Now it is priced at $189,000.) I would rather have few to no walk-throughs than a ton with no good offers though. We can’t go as low as some people can because we bought our house at the peak of the market for $204,000.
It’s funny because when I look at our listing online it almost makes me want to buy it all over again. The original owners did a good job of picking out nice colors, and I would have the same in our next house if I could. Sometimes I wonder why we are even trying to sell, then I remember that it’s because I love getting a great deal! With interest rates so low, and prices of homes so low, now seems like a great time to buy a home we can settle in to. But, if we end up not selling, there are a lot of things I’m excited about still living here. Some of them include-
* Our pool opens up the end of May
* Our ward is awesome! I wish we could all stay in the same ward together.
* Super Saturday in our ward and other upcoming Relief Society activities
* Summertime here is so fun, there are lots of friends outside everyday!
* It’s really nice not having the responsibility of a big yard, (but I will also like having a bigger yard).
We had a great Easter holiday season, and lots of family fun!

Zeke’s Grandma Charlotte came Saturday morning and brought some treats and fun things for Zeke. She gave him this McQueen bop bag, McQueen rain boots, a butterfly catching net, and a fun book called “Cowlicks”. She finds really neat toys and tastey treats!

Daddy made a puddle with the hose for Zeke to splash in with his new boots.

Saturday afternoon we went to my parents’ house for an Easter picnic. Zeke had fun finding his Easter basket from Grandma S

He got a stick horse too.

Here is Zeke after church on Sunday with his basket from the Easter Bunny.

We had a delicious dinner at Jimmy’s parents’, and Zeke found his Easter surprise from Grandma and Grandpa Z!

Zeke loved all of the egg hunts too, this is one Grandma Z did.

Jumping for joy after an egg hunt

Jimmy’s family has a tradition of throwing the hard boiled eggs down a park hill. We’ve done it every year, and it’s starting to grow on me. At first I thought it was a little strange, but it’s a lot of fun!

We finished our Easter Sunday at Jimmy’s Grandparetnts’ house, it was fun with all the cousins and extended family!

I love our family! They are so great, and so fun to be with!
We had a fun visit with my oldest sister Adela and her family at her house a week ago. She has lots of horses of all sizes and colors.

This is one of her mini horses. Adela spends hours each day outside with her minis, and she has a video monitor to watch them when they are about to have babies. She helps deliver the baby because sometimes they can’t get out on their own.

These are Belgian horses.

My sister has an authentic wagon, it’s fun to go for a wagon ride when we visit.

I feel like Laura on “Little House on the Prairie”.

Jimmy thought he was going to die on this horse ride. When they were running really fast, his foot came out of the stirrup! He’s on the second horse in this picture. I’m thankful everyone was ok!

My mom did an Easter egg hunt for the kids, Zeke found 4 eggs.

My youngest niece Makenna, (who is 2), and Zeke. Zeke had a blast the whole trip because we saw and did lots of his favorite things- animals, motorcycles, treats, cousins, and lots of time in the great outdoors!

My niece Marissa, and I had so much fun on the teeter totter! It’s hard to capture in the picture, but we got spinning around fast!

Shirley, Mom, Adela, Me, and Makayla and Makenna below. My sister Adela (who lives there), made us these cute dolls. She is really artsy, and talented. I love my doll!
(I’m not very skilled at posting videos on my blog, but if you click on the link above, it will take you to the song and music video.)
My friend LeMira, (who is also on the adoption waiting list), posted this song on her blog. I love a good song about adoption, and this one was written and sung by Mark Schultz who was adopted as an infant.

Duet at Grandma and Grandpa’s

Zeke wanted to help me brush my teeth like I help him with his little tooth brush.

Zeke was so happy to have a tie like Daddy to wear to church!

I bet the stuffed animals are all laughing too!
Zeke has so many cute friends! I don’t have pictures of all of them but here are some cute pictures of some…

Jack and Zeke jumping on his bed

This is my cute cousin’s son, Kyson. He was so funny going down the slide, he held on the whole way down just like this picture shows, and then said “Weee” in a scared little voice.

Zeke and Boston. (I got this from your blog Janae) I love how Zeke is riding the motorcycle!

Zeke and cousin Dallin

Zeke and Nick

Zeke and his cousin Evan are really good friends. It is surprising to me because Evan is 6 years old, but they love playing together!

Evan is very good at sharing with Zeke too!

Zeke with Jace and Ethan

And last but not least, Zeke with his best bud, his daddy!

I love this one of Zeke, and I love the one of Jimmy too, but for different reasons…

It makes me laugh! (Posted with Jimmy’s permission, I would never post a picture like this without first asking:) Actually, I think I am more embarrassed about this picture than Jimmy is. I hope it makes you laugh too!
