We read the old testament!

April 22nd, 2009

Jimmy and I finished reading the Old Testament together! It was both of our first times reading it cover to cover. It was really neat for me to read the stories, and helpful to have someone to ask my questions to when I was confused. We have read all of the standard works together now, including the triple combination in Spanish. We are now reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish again. I’m excited because our Spanish is getting a little rusty, we need to practice more. We hope to serve a Spanish speaking mission together someday in the very distant future that I’m sure will be here before we know it!

    What an accomplishment–way to go!

That is so great. Michael and I haven’t ever read the bible completely (together) I had no idea you were that fluent in Spanish… I am sure I could read the BOM in Spanish but wouldn’t understand much! What a great achievement, and goal.

    WOW! Nice!

I didn’t know you spoke Spanish; I could maybe follow along (took four years in high school) but I would be petrified to actually have to SPEAK it!

    Anyway — you rock. :-D

Wow, that is quite the accomplishment! I’m impressed that you both speak Spanish! Awesome!
