Amy

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

We feel so blessed to have had so much time with Lillian’s birth mom, Amy. We have gotten to know her and love her so much! She is an amazing girl, of great faith, and optimism. We can see and feel how much Amy loves Lillian. We are so thankful for Amy’s courage in placing Lillian with us.

Beautiful Lillian

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Beautiful little Lillian was born on Tuesday, May 26th, at 1:45pm. She weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 inches long. She has captured our hearts, and has both Jimmy and me wrapped around her tiny, delicate finger. I will write more later, but want to post up some pictures for now. Pictures posted in chronological order.

This is the most recent picture of Lillian. Daddy and Lillian taking a nap together, just a few hours ago. The king size bed is great for having Lillian’s bed in between us.

We want to thank everyone for your many prayers, and for those who were able to fast for everyone involved with this miracle. We are fasting now too, and we can feel the love and power of Heavenly Father so strong. We know He is in charge.

Awaiting a miracle…

Where do I begin? Jimmy and I are in North Dakota right now. We have been corresponding with a birth mom since May 3rd. We were waiting to make an announcement  until things became more official through the agency, but we’re about as close to official as possible right now (:-)

Amy went into labor Saturday night, and was in the hospital. We bought our plane ticket around 11pm, and got up at 3:30am to catch a 6am flight. It was so exciting I never fell asleep, and Jimmy only slept for 2 hours since we didn’t get to bed until 1:30am.

When we got to our layover in Minneapolis, Amy said that they were discharging her to wait at home until her water breaks. We feel like it was a blessing being able to meet her while she was still pregnant. She is a beautiful young lady, and so sweet!

We also had the privilege of meeting the birth father, Zack, and his parents. Zack is awesome too, and has a fun personality. His parents are both very kind, and everyone just wants what is best for the baby.

We’re all hoping Amy can have the baby as soon as possible, she is in lots of pain, and very uncomfortable. Please pray for her, Zack, and their families.

Below are some pictures of the baby’s nursery. Amy wanted to name her Lillian, after her grandma, and we love the name too!

Zeke got this new motorcycle, and he is so cute on it!

I keep telling myself I need to be better about saving gifts for Zeke’s birthday, or Christmas etc. but it’s so exciting for me to see him excited about new fun things!

We love Disneyland!

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

We had a fun trip to Disneyland last week! We had 5-day park hopper passes, then we did one day at the beach and Downtown Disney. We went with my sister, Shirley, and her family. My mom and younger brother met us down there for the last few days. It was a great break, Disneyland is still such a magical place for us! Best of all, Zeke and I loved having Daddy with us all day, everyday for a whole week!
