Jimmy * Esther * Zeke * Lilly

I love to go into Zeke’s room after he falls asleep at night. He looks so peaceful, and sweet. He has recently started liking a blanket over him. Since he was tiny, he didn’t like anything on him while he slept, but lately he wakes up in the middle of the night and comes in to snuggle with Jimmy and me. He has a bedtime routine that includes a prayer, stories, and snuggles in his bed, but he usually gets out of his bed after we leave and waits by his doorway for a while until going back into bed to fall asleep. He knows he needs to stay in his room, and fall asleep in his bed, but if he wakes up after being asleep for a while, he can come in with us. He used to kick our covers off him when he’d be in our bed, but we think he must have gotten use to them. Last night I went in and saw that he had tucked himself in his bed under his special blanket from his Grandma Charlotte.

I loved to see him all cozy under his blanket, and with his bear. I had Jimmy come in too, it was such a sweet sight.

This morning, Zeke was snuggling Lilly, and Lilly loved it! It was so cute. Zeke said, “I love you Lilly”, and I said to Zeke, “Lilly says, ‘I love you big brother Zeke’” and then Zeke said to me, “I love you big brother mommy”.
