Our weekend

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Yesterday, Lilly turned 4 months old. Jimmy and Zeke went to the BYU game, and took the camera, so I didn’t get her 4 month picture until after she went to bed.

Look at her little bunny feet sleeper! Thanks Kandice for this, and the other cute things you gave Lilly! She was wearing her cherry dress from you in her 3 month picture too :)

I took this picture today, on her 4 month, and 1 day birthday ;). On the 28th at her 4 month Dr. visit, Lilly weighed 14 lbs. 14 oz., and she was 26 inches long! She was off the chart for height, and stayed about the 80th percentile for weight.

Jimmy said Zeke thought the football game was so neat. I really wished I could have been there too, but I also wanted to go to Women’s Conference which was at the same time. Lilly and I had a girls night with my mom and sister. I’m glad I went to the conference, the talks were very inspiring to me, and gave me the extra umph that I needed to do a little better.

Daddy bought Zeke a “Sprite drink” (as Zeke calls them). It was the highlight of the game for him.

Friday night we went to “The Greatest Show on Earth” circus. My mom bought 18 tickets for all of my family that lives close enough to Salt Lake. It was awesome! I hadn’t been since I was little. Zeke and Lilly both loved it.

Aunt Shirley held Lilly, then my brother stole her for a while, and then my mom got to hold her, then my sister took her back for the rest of the show. I missed her, but it’s fun seeing how much joy Lilly brings to everyone, and how much we all love her!

Zeke loved sitting on his Daddy’s lap, and eating popcorn with cousins. It was a special day on Friday too, it was the 2 year anniversary of Zeke’s sealing. We loved remembering that wonderful day, and how thankful we are for our little man. I can hardly believe it was 2 years ago! He amazes us with all he is, and we love him so much!!

Our favorite parts of the show were the elephants, horses, and dogs, but the whole show was really fun! I’m excited to go again next year.

Fun in the country

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

I love going to both of my sisters’ houses. One lives close so we get to go more often, but my oldest sister lives about 2 hours south so we only make it down 2-3 times a year. Her house is fun because she lives in the country. She has 16 acres, with horses, dogs, cats, bunnies, sheep, and chickens. Zeke is in heaven with all of those things, and his cousins! We went down Saturday and Sunday because my nephew got baptized Saturday, it was a fun little trip.

Zeke found their four-wheeler helmets, and thought they were football helmets. He insisted I put one on and play football :)

Later, Daddy and Kendall played too.

Here’s a video. Zeke is so cute, the helmet made him a little top heavy :)

Zeke wanted his bear to ride the horse first.

My sister made this chicken pot pie from scratch, it was so delicious!

Thanks Adela, we had a fun time!

Kids’ date night

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

We have been wanting to take Zeke miniature golfing for a while, and we finally did last Friday. He loved it, and he already wants to go again!

Zeke chose the Haunted House course

Spooky eyes for the spooky course

IMG_5509

Zeke played gold a lot like baseball, he had quite the swing, and we lost his ball a few times :)

IMG_5511

I got pretty good at golfing with one hand. Lilly was so good the whole time! She was my cute little partner, and she fell asleep near the end.

Zeke planning his hole in one. (It’s a little blurry because I turned off the flash so the background wouldn’t be so dark.)

We saw a toad, and Zeke touched it. He loves all the the classic little boy things- toads, bugs, dirt, sports, motorcycles, etc…

All done! Zeke in his miniature golf shirt that he remembered to wear. I forgot he had this shirt, and when I told Zeke we were going mini golfing, he said, “And I can wear my golf shirt!” It amazes us how much Zeke remembers, and picks up on. Zeke is already a backseat driver, and will tell us to go or stop depending on the lights. At first, he would  scream, “Don’t go, it’s red!” when we turned right on a red light. There are a lot of rules and exceptions for driving, but now, Zeke is a backseat driving pro!

We got a treat after golfing. Zeke was so darling eating his cone in his car seat. It was a great date night!
