Lilly on Labor day

Jimmy’s Grandparents have an annual swim party/BBQ on Labor Day, and Grandma makes her famous money cake. She wraps money in tinfoil, and bakes it into the cake :)

We went to the Utah State Fair last Thursday. It’s fun to see all of the animals, and this year they even had bears and alligators!

Zeke with his cousins, I love how he’s holding the tail :D You could pay to hold a little alligator after the show, and Zeke loved it so much that I paid for him to get in line again and hold it all by himself.

It must have been scary without his cousins, and I was really surprised he held it because usually he won’t do something if he doesn’t want to. I thought he was going to drop the gator, but luckily, he didn’t.

He was so brave!

Zeke had tons of fun walking through the barns, and petting the goats, sheep, and pigs.

If you go with kids, take them to the “Little Hands on the Farm” exhibit. It’s on the northwest side of the fair grounds. It was cute, they walked through a lot of mini barns, and did things farmers do like milk a (fake) cow, drive a (toy) tractor, gather eggs from chickens, and harvest a crop after planting seeds.
