Jimmy * Esther * Zeke * Lilly

I had an awesome birthday! Thank you to all who wished me a happy day, it worked :) Jimmy and I went up to Logan’s Anniversary Inn after he got off work last night. We stayed in the Tipi room, and it was so much fun! There were no windows, so it was completely dark, even at 9am.

I thought the trees, and scenery were so cute, and life-like.

There was a moon that had a remote that you could turn into any type of moon. I liked the full moon best.

It was very nice to be able to spend so much time walking around together, and talking. We both loved this little stream, it reminded us of a stream we would walk along on BYU campus when we were dating.

The breakfast was delicious, but the best thing about staying here was the deal I got for us. I had a vacation reward voucher of $150 from my credit card, and I talked the hotel receptionist into giving us $50 off the room since we were booking last minute. So, we paid $16.00 for a room that costs$200 on week nights, and $249 on weekends!

We went to the Logan Temple after checking out, and finished our trip with some famous Aggie ice cream.

It was good, although my vote still goes to BYU’s ice cream, but I’m not biased or anything.

My mom made yummy pies for dessert tonight. My family sang to me, and I went to blow out the candle, but Zeke beat me to it. He loves candles. I was fine with that, my wish already came true :)

It’s seems so unreal that Lilly can get around now. For so long if you put her in a spot, she’d be there until you moved her, but now she’s rolling all over, and even crawling finally! It’s so exciting! She also loves to walk. If someone is holding her and sitting down, she grabs their hands and wants them to help her walk. She’s getting better at shifting her weight, and I’m guessing she will be walking  by September.

We’re all so proud of Lilly, and it’s fun that we can all be here to see her do some of her firsts. It was while we have lived here that she learned to roll over, do high-5′s, learned some signs, and other things.

Lilly loves popsicles! If she sees anyone eating a popsicle, or an ice cream, she squeals, and screams until she gets a bite. My friend showed me these tiny slow melting “Mighty Minis” Popsicles, and I think they are the coolest! They are a great size for toddlers, and so much less messy. FYI: I have only been able to find them at Smith’s and Harmon’s, but they are a great price- 24 for about $3.00.
