All about Zeke at 45 months old ;)

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

When I did the post about Lilly at 18 months, I decided to do one about Zeke too.  I stopped keeping track of his age in months sometime after he turned 2, but I figured out today that he is currently 45 months, (and 1 week), old.

Zeke loves apple juice!! He can drink 96 ounces in less than 2 days if we let him!

Zeke invents some interesting sandwich combinations. This one is mayo, BBQ sauce, and ketchup.

Zeke loves to help. He wanted to do the dishes a lot last week. Check out how much soap he used to clean Lilly’s bottle! (It’s on the counter by his elbow)

Here he is helping daddy make french toast. This face is his face he does when he’s trying really hard at something :)

He calls this his “exercise”. He will stay in this position for minutes at a time, and he will do it on anything. He holds himself up, and concentrates quietly.

Zeke wrote a letter to Santa telling him he wants a bow and arrow for Christmas. He has been very consistent in saying that’s what he wants, and it’s the only thing he’s asking for.

Zeke is still a little dare devil! Jimmy took this picture of him riding his motorcycle down the slide!

Zeke makes us laugh with the cute things he says and does, here are some of his recent sayings…

We smelled something outside that smelled like our dinner the night before, and Zeke said, “I think we can smell it from our stomachs!”

We were in our house, and we heard a noise outside Zeke said, “I think it was a snake in the mountains that we heard.”

I was singing  “Lucky I’m in love with my best friend…” and Zeke said, “Mom, am I your best friend?”:) I told him yes, and Lilly, and Daddy are too!

Zeke hurt his ankle, and said, “Why do people have ankles? I don’t want to have ankles!”

“Mom, I’m sick.” Me: “Do you have a sore throat?” Zeke: “No, I have emergency sickness, I need arm-fall-off-medicine so my arm doesn’t fall off.”

Oh how I love my boy!!

Gingerbread Train

Friday, December 10th, 2010

Zeke has been very excited to make a gingerbread house this year! When he saw the gingerbread train at Target, he decided that would be even cooler so we got it instead. Here’s how it went-

Making the train. I love how Lilly is looking at Zeke in the above picture :) She loves her brother, she watches his every move, and tries to do what he does.

Decorating the train. Lilly stayed fairly clean because she mostly handled the taste testing of the candies.

Zeke handled the dirty stuff.

He really gets into his work :)

The end result

I like Zeke’s and Lilly’s train better….but I’m not biased or anything!

Sledding on a chair with skis

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

My niece, Marissa, and brother, Carlin on the chair sled my father-in-law made years ago.

These chair sleds go really far, and have quite the thrill factor.

Zeke didn’t ever try the chair sled this time, but half way through he did get up the courage to try a regular sled on the small hill.

He was nervous at first, but after he went he loved it! He kept saying, “I want to go again!”

His face was so cute as he rode down each time!

He liked racing Uncle Dan too :)
