City Fair

I just can’t get enough of watching my kids enjoy rides! It’s way more fun than going on rides myself, and I love rides! I know now what my mom would tell me when I was little at Christmas timeĀ  when I would ask her if she was sad she didn’t get many presents, and she’d tell me that seeing how happy her children were with theirs was better than any present. It goes the other way too though, when someone is mean to your child, it’s worse than if someone were mean to you. That’s probably the hardest part of parenting- not being able to solve all of your kid’s problems when they are suffering. I’m enjoying these days while my kids are little, and their problems are too. Anyway, we sure had a fun family night tonight!

Zeke taking care of his little sister, helping her safely off the ride, and carrying her to us :)

Zeke was really into this ride, he steered his wheel the whole time, and watched where he was going :) He loved it, and I loved watching him love it!

Lilly rode the carousel with Daddy

Zeke also loved the motorcycles, they were cute!

Lilly thought she would like this ride, so did we…

…poor girl! They stopped the ride after one go around to let Lilly off.

Lilly’s concerned watching the ride.

Zeke thought he would like this ride, but it was too fast.

I asked him if it was scary because his face looked really scared, but he said “No, it just hurt my tummy”. I think he didn’t want to admit a ride scared him, poor guy!

Now this is more like it! Nice and easy!

Lilly could swing all day, and she loves under-dogs!

Zeke can climb the wall this year, and his face is so proud when he gets to the top :)

What a perfect evening! (Well, aside from letting my kids each ride a ride that scared them to tears.)

Cute Zeke loves to help with projects, he had a great time when we were finishing our basement!

Our niece, Marissa, was valedictorian, and she got to speak at her graduation!
