Animal Farm!

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

We went to the animal farm at Thanksgiving Point with my friend Hannah, and her kids. I love $2 Tuesdays in August!

This cow was popular! The boys kept wanting to go back to see the cow :)

Lilly liked the goats, she was brave to try to feed it!

I think Lilly’s feeding it grass, and Zeke has a rock to feed it :)

Hannah, Jace, and Ethan. She also has a baby girl that was born on Lilly’s 2nd birthday!

My kids were nervous of the horse drawn wagon ride, they wanted to hold my hands. Poor Lilly looks scared.

It was a great day! I think my kids are at the funnest ages where they are old enough, and young enough enjoy the same things!

Z Family camp

Friday, August 26th, 2011

Earlier this month was our annual family camp at Warm River Campground in Idaho near Yellowstone. It was a long drive, so we took a few stops. Our favorite stop was in Idaho Falls. We love Idaho Falls for one very special reason, it’s where Zeke was born!

We stayed at the Red Lion with our newborn baby boy, it was right across from the dam. We went there to show Zeke, and got some cookies from the lobby.

my kids loved feeding the geese! It was fun to explore the area by the hotel, there was a huge park by the dam. We stayed inside when we were there with baby Zeke, we were paranoid first-time parents and didn’t want any germs getting on him :)

Lilly was a generous feeder, she’d give whole pieces of bread sometimes!

Lilly put her hands in her pockets while walking, she looks so grown up in these pictures!

We got to camp about 5:30, and my kids wanted to get right in the water!

Jake, Carter, Rachael, Grandma, Cameron, Zeke and Lilly sitting on Jimmy, Dave, Taylor, and Kristin rafting down the river

The water was SO cold, but they loved it!

Zeke even dunked his head under!

Lilly and Zeke thought it was the coolest thing painting their shirts

The way Lilly was holding her cookie, made me laugh! I think Jimmy is imitating her in the background. Haha! Nice honey :)

Zeke’s masterpeice

A very happy little artist!

Zeke loved hanging out with his cousins! Especially the big boys, he thinks he’s as old, and smart as them :)

My two darling blessings sitting on my lap during a campfire story :) I loved it!

Grandma reading stories in her tent with the grandkids

Lilly was a happy camper this time! The difference was all in the pack-and play. We didn’t bring it to Green River, and she cried till Jimmy slept with her in the car. She didn’t like being in the sleeping bag with us, she wanted her own space, so this time we took the pack-and-play and she slept the whole night through. She even asked to go night-night before we were going to put her to bed, and she went to sleep without a peep!

Lilly wanted to help me with the dishes

Then she got all crazy, and dunked her head!

Silly girl!

All the grandchildren on Jimmy’s side of the family

The 5 littlest campers- Wyatt, Matthew, Lilly holding Sam, and Ezra. Lilly is the loan princess of the group. We need more girls :) My side of the family mostly have boys too.

Jimmy’s whole family was there except for his two little brothers who were out of state.

Zeke reminded Daddy to bring the saws so he could saw logs, he said it was one of his favorite parts of the trip.

Lilly resting on a rock, she said, “go night-night!”

We hiked to this beautiful waterfall, it was so neat!

On the way home, we stopped in Rexburg at Josh and Suzy’s for pizza. Zeke and Lilly had a lot of fun in their cool backyard!

It was a great weekend!
