Lilly’s big girl bed!

Friday, August 19th, 2011

Jimmy put Lilly’s bed together on Monday, and we prepared for a rough night. To our happy surprise, we have had no rough nights, and no rough nap times! Lilly has done so well with the transition! I thought she would miss her crib, and we even left it up in her room on the opposite wall in case we needed to revert back to it to get sleep, but we haven’t needed it, and Lilly hasn’t missed it. She points to it, and laughs sometimes because it looks different without the mattress in it :) We sneak in to watch Lilly at night when she sleeps, I think it’s the most adorable thing to see her sleeping in her big girl bed! I can’t believe how well she has done. She fell out on the second night, but I went up and put her back into bed, and she went right back to sleep. I’m so proud of my baby girl!

When Lilly came up and saw it, she crawled in and wanted to go to sleep.

I thought it was cute to see her arm hanging off one night so I had to get a picture :) Her doll is barely hanging on too.

I thought Zeke looked extra sweet that night also :)

The Zoo

We went to the Zoo with Grandma!

The train was fun!

The new “Zoorasic” dinosaurs were a little scary.  They moved, and made real sounding dino sounds which scared my kids.

These ones even spit water at you. Poor Lilly cried when we would go by a dinosaur, finally I told her to tell them “No, no!” and that helped her not to cry when she heard or saw one.

Lilly with her ice cream, and runny nose from crying, poor girl!

Zeke wanted to ride the wolf

Lilly chose the whale at first, then a lady bug

We all loved the tiny monkeys

Lilly made it by the huge T-Rex just fine by telling him “No, NO!”, even with his really scary sounds and movements!

Zeke and I seeing how we compared in size to gorillas, (it’s a small picture because Grandma took it on her phone).

Zeke loved chasing the peacocks, chickens, and big turkeys that were roaming the streets

Lilly drinking from the lion’s mouth

It’s funny because my kids liked the zoo park better than seeing all the different animals! Zeke thought the Rinos, and large reptiles were pretty cool, but he loved the play area!

Lilly’s a turtle!

Oh my goodness! I don’t think it’s possible for Lilly to get any cuter!!

Lots of Zeke pictures

Zeke, Kevin, mom, Bree, Shirley, Adam, and Kendall

Cute Zeke at a park

The boys had the best time in playing in the mud of the empty lot in our cul-de-sac!

Dallin and Zeke

One of Zeke’s favorite activities!

Trying to get the mattress up to go again :)

Jimmy carrying a worn out Zeke home from the park :) I was carrying his big wheel

And one of Lilly at the Dinosaur Museum, I wish I could take better quality pictures there, this is the only one that kind of turned out. *Just a reminder, this month is $2 Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point*
