Disneyland!

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

We took a fun family vacation with just the 4 of us to Disneyland this past week! It was awesome! We broke up the drive there into two days, and stayed in Las Vegas Saturday night. Zeke and Lilly loved the pool at the hotel :)

Sunday morning we went to church, then stopped for at a park for picnic lunch in Fontana CA. Then drove the rest of the way to our hotel. We were all so happy to finally be there!

Lilly and Zeke were so cute with their rolling luggage :)

Our room was right by the pool entrance, which was perfect!

Sunday evening we ate dinner ate the beach, and walked along the ocean. Poor Lilly didn’t like the big rolling water, and had Jimmy carry her almost the whole time. I was surprised because she loves water!

Zeke found a lot of neat sea shells! He loved finding them!

Lilly in her princess pack and play bed :)

Disneyland!

Zeke was so excited to go on the Storybook ride, and go in the whale’s mouth! It was our first ride :)

Before we got there Lilly kept saying she wanted to ride boats, and trains, so we did the Casey Jr. Train second :)

Lilly loved meeting the characters, she especially liked Pluto the dog. She kept saying, “Hi Dog!” and waving to him.

one of Zeke’s favorites- the Buzz Lightyear laser shooting ride.

Tarzan Treehouse! I had to bring a lot of Disney movies to show my kids on the car ride to Disneyland so they would appreciate things like this more. They hadn’t seen Tarzan till the car ride, and they both really liked it. Zeke wanted to watch it twice in a row!

Jungle Cruise :)

Lilly with the Fairy Godmother

Lilly chose this hat in the gift shop, and we have her name embroidered on the back. Zeke has one just like it that’s blue from his first visit :)

Zeke loved this roller coaster in toon town. They went on it a lot while Lilly and I were waiting in lines to meet characters. Zeke would not meet the characters, but Lilly loved it!

Lilly and Mickey!

Lilly in Minnie’s house

It’s a Small World was one of Lilly’s favorite rides! It was my favorite my first time too! Lilly loved all the dancing dolls :)

I love this one of Lilly on the pony with her daddy, and the castle in the background! It reminds me of the saying I’ve seen on decor for little girls’ rooms that says, “My prince has come, his name is Daddy!”

Another family favorite- the Peter Pan ride! Not the best picture, but I like it because it shows Lilly’s cute Minnie Mouse bow :)

We had a real miracle happen for us because after our first day, my back started hurting, and that night I couldn’t even walk! It was like a kinked neck in my lower back, and when I would move, it sent shooting pains all over! It was bad! I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to walk the next day, and at 6am, it was still just as bad. Jimmy and I prayed so hard through out the night, and morning, and in the morning I was able to walk a little, then I was able to walk the whole day! It still hurt, but not so much that I couldn’t walk. It was a miracle! I was so thankful to be able to be there with my family!

I just loved how Lilly got so excited for her turn to meet the characters!

Zeke loved driving the bumper car!

The Bug’s Life land was so fun!

The new Little Mermaid ride was darling!

3-D Glasses for the Toy Story ride :)

My family minus me on the swinging ferris wheel ride. I went on this once a few years ago, and I got so scared! My kids loved it though!

Sully! I was surprised Lilly wasn’t scared to meet this character!

Dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe :) The kids fell asleep on our way walking to the cafe, so we got their food to go, and Jimmy and I had a nice date meal :) They both woke up at the end, and were able to enjoy the neat surroundings. I was happy because I have been telling Zeke about this place for months!

Lilly with her friends :)

Zeke and Lilly loved swimming every night before bed!

Zeke got to do the steering wheel on Autopia, he was very excited about that!

Lilly totally enjoying the Tea Cups!

Zeke said the Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster was his very favorite!

Lilly said this flying space ship ride was her favorite :)

We looked in so many gift shops, and of all the things, Zeke chose this Mickey light saber, even though he had one at home :) It was the perfect souvenir for him though, he was in his own world with it, and I couldn’t get enough of watching him enjoy it!

Zeke used his light saber on the Pirate Island to lead us in the dark caves :)

One our last day, and the last character we met, Zeke went up with Lilly to give him a high-5!

Lilly Belle with her Belle shirt on, and her Belle princess bear :)

getting a comfortable seat for the parade

It was the sweetest thing! When the princess float came by, (and when it was closer than in this picture), Princess Belle saw Lilly wearing a Belle shirt, and waved to her, and blew her a kiss, Lilly blew a kiss back, and Belle held in on her heart! Jimmy said that was his highlight of the trip, Belle is his favorite Disney princess, and Lilly is his favorite real princess :)

We drove back all day yesterday, and got back around 9pm. It was a wonderful trip! Everything we hoped for, and more!

BOY!!

Our first family of 5 picture :) Poor Lil wasn’t feeling her best, but she managed a half smile.

We went to Fetal Studio at the South Town Mall last night, and found out our third baby is a baby boy! Zeke’s face was just beaming with happiness when they said, “It’s a boy!” He has been talking about his brother for over a year, and has even wanted to buy shirts for him. He would show me a shirt in the store, and say, “This is for my little brother, can we buy it?” It was fun seeing the little guy, and his profile looks cute, and reminds us of baby Zeke. We told Zeke his brother had his nose, and Zeke smiled so big, and proud! It was fun having the kids, and some other family there with us. We don’t think Lilly understands too much yet, but I’m sure she will be so cute with her little brother when he is born! I think she will love helping mommy change his outfits, and wrap him in his blankets. :)  This is such an exciting time for our little family!

Great weekend!

Lilly’s paternal grandparents came to stay with us this weekend from North Dakota! We couldn’t wait for them to get here!

It was tricky getting a group shot, Lilly won’t smile on demand as easily anymore :)

Finally we got Lilly to smile normal :)

Lilly kept saying “degin! mama” (again! grandma) Lilly could have spun all night!

Grandpa and Daddy swung Lilly up high, on our walk to the park, she loves that!

Lilly doing pop-cycle high-5′s with Grandpa

Saturday we went to Daybreak for a picnic lunch, and play time at the cool parks

After eating dinner at Cafe Rio, Dave and Linda bought us all cupcakes at a cute sweet shop- One Sweet Slice

I like this candid shot Jimmy took. Lilly is one LOVED girl!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking the time, and effort to visit us, we love you!
