Zeke told Lilly he was going to make her hair beautiful. I thought this was the end result, but Zeke thought it needed something more.
10 minutes later, her hair was finished, and ready for conference Saturday :)
I have a lot to post about, and I don’t like being online very much anymore, so I’ll do my best at getting the updates on our blog with one combined, and unrelated post :)
I was planning on doing a post all about girl’s camp, (which was way back in the beginning of August), and all the neat things we did, but instead, I’ll just post this picture of the girls and say it was really fun spending so much time with the awesome young women in our ward, but really hard to be away from my kids for 2 days.
We went to The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point in August too, my kids loved the Noah splash pool
Zeke had to see what was on the other side of the wall :)
Labor day at Jimmy’s grandparents’ was also a fun. Lilly liked to float on her back in the pool, and Zeke had fun squirting people with the water guns :)
We took advantage of the free day at Red Butte Gardens. Some of both sides of our families came, it was fun.
Lilly reaching for more powdered donuts, right after stuffing one in :)
We went to Sugar House Park with Grandma Charlotte. Zeke kept trying to touch the geese and ducks, I was afraid her would get pecked, but he didn’t.
We went to Baskin Robbins too, and Lilly chose the same flavor as her brother. She like to be like him, which is both good, and not so good depending on what he’s doing. Lately they’ve been having major issues of using potty words, and we hadn’t been able to find a way to get them to stop. In our hotel pool, Lilly said hi to a man by saying, “Hi poo-poo guy!” then she laughed hysterically. It was a problem for sure! When we got home, we decided to try the washing out their mouth with soap trick, that didn’t work. Lilly liked the soap taste, and swallowed it, that made me worry. Then we remembered our Placebatin medicine Jimmy invented. When Zeke was younger, he would cry for medicine when he wasn’t sick, (it was the good tasting baby kind), so we’d give him “Placebatin” aka Apple Cider Vinegar, he hated it. Last week we decided to try giving the kids a teaspoon full of apple cider vinegar when they would use inappropriate words, I was worried Lilly would like it too. After she had an offense, I gave her a spoonful, and she immediately spit it out all over the floor, herself, and me. After that, we would hold the kids over the sink the get their spoonful since we knew it would be spit right out. We don’t make them swallow it, just having the taste in their mouth has been enough to drastically reduce the amount of potty words in our home. It’s so cute to see them catch themselves, it was a bad habit, and took a few days to break. The other day, Lilly started saying a potty word, and covered her mouth, and shook her head at us with worried eyes. They’ve both done so well these past few days, with the exception of when we’re away from home. Lilly has figured out that we don’t have the gross vinegar with us when we’re away, and she will says things she shouldn’t, and laugh. I think I’ll put a little in a spray bottle, for on the go.
Jimmy went to San Fransisco for 4 days for work. We missed him so much! He brought these hand made hats back for the kids. Zeke is an angry bird from the Angry Birds game he likes to play on Jimmy’s phone. Lilly’s is just a cute owl, it will be fun to have these this winter.
Zeke wanted to watch a late night BYU football game with his dad. He dressed up in his football uniform, and fell asleep soon after while Jimmy was rubbing his feet. Lately, Zeke loves to have his feet, legs, back, and head massaged. It’s cute :)
